To successfully complete the Master Schindel's Toys quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, follow these detailed steps:
Starting the Quest
To initiate the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, you must be engaged in the Into the Underworld main mission. As part of this mission, you need to find an informant named Goatskin. Begin your search by visiting the bathhouse and speaking with the Bathhouse Madam, followed by a conversation with Adam. Adam will inform you that Goatskin has stolen items from Master Schindel.
Locating Goatskin
Goatskin is a timid individual, making it challenging to find him directly. You have two options: speak with Lousy Mary or follow Udo. I recommend engaging with Udo, who can be found on the first floor of the bathhouse during the evening. Ask him to leave, and then discreetly follow him. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, providing you the opportunity to confront him.
Obtaining the Map
In addition to information about Liechtenstein, you can try to get a map from Goatskin. If you fail the skill check, you'll need to bribe him. Goatskin will direct you to find the Map of Kuttenberg Underground on a body at the Kuttenberg gallows, situated on the southeastern side of the city.
Examine the hanging corpse to retrieve the map, which will help you navigate the underground area, although it can be quite challenging to traverse.
Finding the Stolen Items
To quickly retrieve the stolen items, head to the entrance on the northern side of the open area and climb down the ladder into the Kuttenberg Underground. Ensure you have a torch equipped, as this area is pitch dark.
Navigate through the underground by consistently making left turns until you reach a barrel at a dead end. At one point, you'll need to jump down to a lower level. Continue following the left path at each junction until you discover Goatskin's hidden stash. Inside the barrel, you'll find a book and an astrolabe.
Completing the Quest
After securing the stolen items, retrace your steps to exit the underground. Find Master Schindel on the northeastern side of the city during the day. He may be initially irritable, but returning his missing items will make him more receptive. Continue the conversation, and he'll explain the astrolabe and the workings of the planets.
By completing the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, you'll earn valuable reputation points and additional rewards. This quest, while short, is a great addition to your gameplay experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
