BG3 Patch 8 Needs Testers

Larian Studios announced on a Steam post that a stress test for Patch 8 is planned for January. PC players can access the test via Steam, while console players will access it on Xbox and PlayStation. Mac and GOG users will not be included in this test. Registration is currently open.

Larian intends to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly focusing on crossplay functionality, stating that implementing crossplay in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale has been challenging and requires extensive testing. Players are encouraged to register and participate, either with friends or by finding groups through the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian has committed to ongoing support for modders, promising significant future updates to enhance modding capabilities and allow players to create their own narratives. Since the release of official mod tools in September, the game has seen over 70 million module downloads and over 3,000 mod uploads.
