Ash of Gods: The Way retains its core tactical card battle system but introduces exciting new elements. Players build decks from four distinct factions, utilizing warriors, gear, and spells. A diverse range of tournaments await, each with unique enemies, battlefields, and rules. With two decks, five factions, and a staggering 32 possible endings, replayability is guaranteed.
The Story
Players assume the role of Finn and his three-person crew, venturing into enemy territory to compete in war game tournaments. The game seamlessly blends tactical combat with richly detailed, voice-acted visual novel sequences. Character interactions are a highlight, with engaging dialogues that bring the story to life through arguments, support, and playful banter.
Gameplay
Four unique deck types are unlockable and upgradeable throughout the game, starting with Berkanan and Bandit, followed by the defensive Frisian deck and the aggressive Gellian deck. The game encourages experimentation with no penalties for switching upgrades or factions. While character choices heavily influence the narrative, plot twists take a backseat.
