MAME4droid 2024, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), brings the power of MAME 0.270 emulation to Android. This port supports a vast library of arcade games and systems, including ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and MSX, boasting compatibility with over 40,000 ROMs.

Crucial Note: MAME4droid is an emulator only and does not include ROMs or copyrighted material. It's also entirely separate from the official MAME team; please direct any questions about the emulator to its developer, not the MAME team.

High-End Device Recommendation: Due to its reliance on the latest PC MAME version, MAME4droid 2024 is optimized for high-end Android devices. Even on powerful hardware, expect some performance variations across the extensive game library; older titles will generally run better than more modern arcade games from the 90s and beyond. Complete compatibility across all 40,000+ supported titles isn't guaranteed.

ROM Placement: After installation, place your MAME-compatible zipped ROMs in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.seleuco.mame4d2024/files/roms folder. Refer to the in-app help for alternative ROM paths. Importantly, this version uses only the '0.269' ROM set, not those from older MAME versions.
