Duck Hunt is a classic light gun shooter video game where players take aim at on-screen ducks. Ducks appear singly or in pairs, and players get three shots to bring them down before they fly away. Each successful shot earns points. Successfully hitting the required number of ducks advances the player to the next round; failure results in a game over.

The challenge increases with each round, as ducks move faster and the target count rises. Points are awarded for each hit, with bonus points for a perfect round (all ten ducks). The game tracks the high score for a single play session, which resets when the game is closed.
