Thirteen - Tien Len Mien Nam (TLMN) is a captivating, free-to-play card game designed for four players. This 13-card strategy game promises to evoke thrilling emotions and keep players engaged!

The primary goal of Tien Len Mien Nam is to be the first player to discard all your cards before your opponents do.

HOW TO PLAY:

At the start of a new Tien Len game, each player receives 13 cards. The player holding the Spade 3 card initiates the first round. In subsequent rounds, the winner of the previous game can start with any valid card set.

Players take turns playing a higher card set or choosing to "Pass" and skip their turn. Once a player passes, they must continue to pass in subsequent turns until the round concludes, which happens when three out of the four players pass.

The player who remains active at the end of a round starts the next round with any valid card set. The game concludes when one player successfully discards all their cards.

1. Tien Len Legal Card Sets and Values

A card set can be one of the following types, with some considered special:

♣ Single: One card

♣ Pair: Two cards of the same rank

♣ Triple: Three cards of the same rank

♣ Quadruple: Four cards of the same rank. Quadruple is a special card set.

♣ Series: Three or more cards forming a consecutive sequence

♣ Double Series: Six or more cards forming a consecutive sequence of pairs. Double Series is a special card set.

The card ranks in ascending order are 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2. A higher-ranking card beats a lower-ranking one. For cards of the same rank, the suit determines superiority, with the suits ranked as follows: Spade ♠, Club ♣, Diamond ♦, Heart ♥.

Card sets of the same type are compared based on the highest cards within the sets.

2. Special Cutting Rules for Special Card Sets

The deuce (2), also known as the "Pig," is the highest-ranking card in the game. When playing singles or doubles, certain special card sets can be used to beat deuce sets. Here are the special cutting rules:

• A double series of 6 cards (3 consecutive pairs) can cut a single deuce.

• A quadruple can cut a double series of 6 cards, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.

• A double series of 8 cards can cut a quadruple, a double series of 6 cards, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.

3. Auto Win

In Tien Len Mien Nam/Thirteen Cards (TLMN, Tien Len), certain hands are recognized as "auto-win" hands, and games with these hands are not played. The player holding the special hand wins the game. The special hands include:
