Ah, rogues. Depending on who you ask, they're either the class of choice for the smart and cunning or a complete pain in the backside. But there's no denying that within the realm of gaming, the classic rogueish activities of criminality and skullduggery are great fun. And Albion Online agrees, which is why the new Rogue Frontier update lets you live out your skulking fantasies.

The main highlight of Rogue Frontier is the introduction of a new faction: the Smugglers. Their Smugglers Dens provide solo and small-scale players with the perfect opportunity to establish a base of operations in the Outlands. This empowers them to evade their more powerfully-armed peers, adding a thrilling layer of strategy and subterfuge to the game.

Additionally, the Smuggler's Network introduces a new Outlands market system that encourages you to sneak your ill-gotten goods to this faction for enhanced rewards. New Smuggler activities further enhance the opportunities for skullduggery, catering to all you aspiring ne'er-do-wells out there.

Sneaky sneaky, slicey throatyThere's also plenty for the braver and more front-facing players. The new Bank overview system helps you track your loot across different storage locations, while three new Crystal weapons and a journal category to track creatures you've encountered add to the excitement. The Rogue Frontier update truly offers something for everyone.

Given the focus on constant conflict in survival MMOs like Albion Online, it's interesting and very welcome that they're offering more for players who want to actively avoid conflict. The risk and reward element adds an exciting dimension; after all, trying to evade those who'd risk your ill-gotten gains for a bigger payday is as pulse-pounding as a head-on assault against monsters.
