Flat2VR Studios has exciting news for fans of the cult classic: they've announced a virtual reality adaptation of the iconic trash shooter, Postal 2, which originally hit the shelves 22 years ago. The project was introduced with a captivating debut trailer that showcases the game's trademark humor and chaotic gameplay, bringing a fresh twist to the beloved title.
The trailer follows the protagonist, known as the Dude, as he gathers signatures to support the development of Postal 2 VR. Later, the developers reveal some of the remake's standout features, including a redesigned shooting mechanic optimized for VR controllers, an updated user interface, and a refreshed mini-map system, all designed to enhance the immersive experience.
A Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, offering fans a glimpse into the game with screenshots, system requirements, and additional details. To enjoy the PC version, players will need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers won't be included, subtitles will be available to ensure accessibility for all players.
Despite the modern upgrades, the core experience remains faithful to the original game. Players will still be tasked with completing everyday errands such as grocery shopping and returning books to the library, but they're free to abandon normalcy and embrace absolute mayhem at any moment, staying true to Postal 2's unique blend of humor and chaos.
Postal 2 VR will be available on multiple platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring that a wide range of VR enthusiasts can dive into this revamped classic.
