What Energy Crystals Do in R.E.P.O. and How to Get More

Authore: JackUpdate:Mar 25,2025

Conquering a level in the cooperative game *R.E.P.O.* is a thrilling feat. Once you and your team reach the Service Station post-victory, you have the opportunity to purchase various weapons and upgrades, including the coveted Energy Crystals. Let's dive into what these Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and how you can acquire more.

What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?

Energy Crystals are vibrant yellow gems found at the Service Station, available for purchase after you've successfully completed your first level. These crystals can be bought for anywhere between $7,000 and $9,000, with prices being more affordable early in the game when the difficulty is lower. If you manage to navigate through the initial levels with minimal damage from monsters, you'll have a better chance of purchasing these crystals right away.

Once you invest in an Energy Crystal, it will generate an Energy Container/Station within your R.E.P.O. truck. This addition is a game-changer, enabling you to recharge essential tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker by simply placing them inside. Not only does this reduce the need for frequent replacements, but it also saves your team considerable amounts of money over time. To recharge an item, place it in the bin next to the container, easily identifiable by its yellow lightning bolt symbol, and it will start recharging, preparing you to face the next Clown, Gnome, or Shadow Child.

The Energy Crystals will automatically appear in the container upon purchase, so there's no need to fret about them not being in the truck waiting for you like other items. However, be mindful that these crystals have a finite lifespan and will deplete with use, eventually requiring replacement to keep the container operational. Typically, one crystal can refill about four battery sections of an item, and six crystals are needed to fully charge the Energy Container.

How To Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Energy Crystals are exclusively available for purchase at the Service Station, and as noted, they can be quite expensive. To ensure you have enough cash to buy these essential items, it's crucial to loot and scavenge as many valuables as possible within each level. Only by completing a level with sufficient funds will the Taxman send you to the Service Station.

In particularly challenging locations, it might be wise to focus on surviving with just enough money to pass the level, rather than risking it all. Prioritizing survival can help you maintain your valuables and ensure you have the funds needed for future purchases.

And that's the lowdown on Energy Crystals in *R.E.P.O.* and how to secure more of them.
