EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, widely known as EA, is inviting Android users to participate in a limited-time playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends. This playtest is part of EA's broader initiative, The Sims Project Rene, where they aim to collect valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interactions. If you're curious about what EA has in store for the future of The Sims series, this is your chance to get a sneak peek.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest for City Life Game with Friends is exclusively available for Android devices. To participate, your phone must be running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. Please note that this playtest is not open to everyone, so you might need to check if your region is included.

The game will be accessible until April 4th, 2025, but keep in mind the end times vary by region: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, you'll need to uninstall the game as it will no longer be available.

Remember, what you experience during this playtest is not the final product. It's an experimental phase where EA is exploring various ideas and directions for the game. It's an exciting opportunity to see where the project might be headed.

What’s in Store?

Once you join the playtest, you'll have the chance to craft a character that reflects your personal style and vibe. The neighborhood in the game is vibrant and full of activities. You can explore the Thrift Shop for new outfits, relax at the Café, or engage in community events.

Team up with other players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes social interaction and community building, encouraging players to connect over shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.

If you're intrigued by this opportunity, head over to the Google Play Store to see if you can participate (availability depends on your region).
