Valve's back from their New Year break, and the first Deadlock patch of 2025 is a surprisingly small one. While a major update was anticipated following the shift away from bi-weekly releases, this patch focuses solely on balance adjustments.
The update primarily targets Yamato, slightly nerfing his Shadow Transformation's damage scaling and initial attack speed bonus. Further tweaks include nerfs to Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, along with a minor rework of Alchemical Fire.

A more substantial patch is expected in the future, although the timing remains uncertain. Deadlock's player base has seen a recent decline, possibly due to the popularity of Marvel Rivals. Despite this, the game maintains a respectable player count (7,000-19,000) considering it's still in deep beta. Release dates and monetization details are yet to be announced by Valve.
