Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode spawn delay. Following negative feedback, the January 9th update reverted the change that extended the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds. This reversal restores the spawn delay to approximately 20 seconds, addressing player frustration with hindered kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The update also includes several bug fixes. These address issues on the Citadelle des Morts map, including glitches impacting quest progression and visual effects, as well as crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud.
Significant buffs have been applied to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have been increased, and the cooldown timer has been reduced by 25%, enhancing its overall effectiveness.
Further improvements are planned for the upcoming Season 2 update on January 28th. This will include additional bug fixes and adjustments, addressing remaining issues such as the Vermin double-attack bug. Until then, players can continue to earn rewards by completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest.
Key Changes in the January 9th Update:
- Zombies Directed Mode: Reversed the extended round and spawn delay.
- Citadelle des Morts: Numerous bug fixes addressing visual effects, crashes, and quest progression issues.
- Shadow Rift Ammo Mod: Substantial buffs to activation rates and cooldown.
- Global: Fixes for character skins, UI, and audio issues.
- Multiplayer: Stability improvements and increased XP rewards in Red Light, Green Light.
The update demonstrates Treyarch's commitment to player feedback and a continuous effort to improve the overall Black Ops 6 experience.
