Ubisoft a officiellement confirmé au jeu le jeu l'annulation de l'adaptation de la série en direct Driver . Initialement annoncé en 2021 pour le streaming exclusif sur Binge.com, le projet faisait partie de la stratégie plus large d'Ubisoft visant à étendre ses franchises en nouveaux médias. Comme l'a déclaré la chef du cinéma et de la télévision d'Ubisoft, Danielle Kreinik, l'objectif était "de donner vie à nos jeux de manière nouvelle et passionnante et de créer du contenu dans le monde, la culture et la communauté des jeux".
