ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

ArtClash was created to inspire daily practice in drawing, sketching, and cartooning.

This is a work in progress. The first game is ready, and more updates are coming soon.

Choose to freely draw anything, or select a topic—or a series of topics—with optional constraints like time limits, color limits, or canvas size. Earn points when others correctly guess your drawing!

This is a solo project, developed for my wife and me to practice daily and motivate others to do the same.

Current features:

• Paint - Sketch, Paint, and Blend

• Import images to use as references or paint over them

• Select topics and constraints, create your drawing, and earn points for every correct guess

• 6 difficulty levels for topics—ranging from single words to up to 5 different words (nouns, verbs, places, time periods)

• Choose from 3 constraints for bonus points: time, colors, or canvas size

• Freely draw anything you like and share it with the community

• NSFW flag, giving you control over viewing images marked as Not Safe For Work

Current early access issues/ Bugs:

• Basic UI: The Unity interface has been challenging, and we plan to replace it with XAML for better responsiveness

• On lower-end devices, keep canvases under 1024x1024 for better performance. The GPU-accelerated brush engine slows down with large canvases and small brushes. We're testing other engines and will improve speed over time.

Upcoming features:

• More games (starting with a drawing "telephone" game)

• Enhanced social features (custom avatars, comments on projects or completed games, friend and follow systems)

• Improved UI and a faster brush engine (addressing current bugs)

• Marquee selection tool and transform tool

• More brushes (compatible with any brush texture; we'll add more and allow users to create and share their own)

• Advanced layer system (currently supports layer creation; future updates will include transparent pixel locking, masks, and more)

• Developer communication system: Submit feedback, request features, report bugs, or vote on upcoming changes

• Moderators: Community members can be promoted to review flagged content and maintain a safe environment

• Topic and constraint submissions: Users can suggest topics and constraints, which will be added after moderation

• Future plans include full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping

Due to performance issues with large textures and the current lack of full editing capabilities, this app is optimized for social competition and encouragement rather than serving as a complete image editing suite.
