After two failed launches and months of anticipation, Rune Slayer has arrived, and it's fantastic! While incredibly fun, the game has a steep learning curve, especially for MMORPG newcomers. Fear not, this guide will help you conquer your Rune Slayer journey.

Here are some essential tips we wish we'd known starting out:
Don't Randomly Attack Other Players
Screenshot by The EscapistInitial concerns about Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP proved unfounded (mostly). Death doesn't mean losing items; you simply respawn. However, attacking players earns you a bounty. The more kills, the larger your bounty, and the more loot you drop upon your death. Essentially, full-loot PvP is self-imposed. Unless you're strategically ganking with friends, avoid initiating player-on-player combat.
Craft Bags Immediately
Screenshot by The EscapistInventory and bank space are severely limited. Fortunately, you can craft bags! Two can be equipped simultaneously, starting with the Cotton Bag. Find Cotton north of Wayshire and Flax south (beware of tougher mobs there). Each Cotton Bag adds 10 slots—craft them ASAP.
Your Pets Don't Actually Die
Screenshot by The EscapistContrary to popular belief, your pets don't perish permanently. After reaching zero health, they have a five-minute summoning cooldown. Check this cooldown by pressing T. To quickly heal your pet, store and retrieve it at the stable master (you have one free slot).
Accept Every Quest
Screenshot by The EscapistRune Slayer boasts a plethora of mostly unremarkable, non-repeatable "kill X" quests. To simplify, accept every quest you encounter, including those on the job board. Often, multiple quests can be completed simultaneously.
Craft Everything At Least Once

Join a Guild
While Rune Slayer is solo-friendly, tougher enemies often require group effort. Guilds are the easiest way to find groups, especially for challenging bosses. Use general chat or the official Rune Slayer Discord server to find a guild.
