Game Pass Updates: Major Changes to Quests and Rewards

Authore: MichaelUpdate:Feb 11,2025

Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests for PC users, boosting rewards and engagement. Starting January 7th, PC Game Pass members (18+) will gain access to a revamped rewards system. This includes daily, weekly, and monthly quests offering points redeemable for various rewards.

Key changes include:

  • PC Game Pass Quest Availability: Quests, previously exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, are now available to PC Game Pass subscribers aged 18 and older.
  • New Quest Types: Daily Play (10 points for 15 minutes of gameplay), Weekly Streaks (points increase with consecutive weekly participation, up to a 4x multiplier), Monthly 4-Pack (play four different games for 15 minutes each), and Monthly 8-Pack (eight different games, with the 4-Pack counting towards this). A PC Weekly Bonus of 150 points is also available for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
  • Age Restriction: Access to the Rewards Hub and all new quest features is restricted to users 18 years of age or older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parentally approved purchases from the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate gaming experiences with this update. The new quest system aims to increase player engagement and provide more opportunities to earn rewards within the Game Pass ecosystem. The minimum playtime requirement for earning points remains at 15 minutes per game, and only Game Pass catalog titles (excluding those with third-party launchers) are eligible.
