Old Coins are initially unusable. Focus on the main story until Chapter 2. After completing the "Suppression of You Province," "Suppression of Jing Province," and "Suppression of Liang Province" battles, return to Ji. You'll meet Sima Hui. Following the subsequent conversation and obtaining incense for the Innkeeper, the Shui Jing Retreat will unlock near Ji. Here, Sima Hui will exchange your Old Coins for rewards. You can also review bonds and past interactions.
Rewards are tied to specific Old Coin milestones; exchange them whenever possible.

With 500 Old Coins to find, avoid early farming. Methods unlock gradually:
