The cult-classic mobile game, 868-Hack, is poised for a comeback! A new crowdfunding campaign has launched for its sequel, 868-Back, promising a renewed experience of cyberpunk hacking.
Imagine the thrill of infiltrating digital mainframes in this roguelike dungeon crawler. While the reality of cyber warfare often falls short of cinematic ideals, 868-Hack successfully captures the essence of hacking, much like the PC classic, Uplink. It masterfully blends the complexity of programming with accessible gameplay.
868-Back expands upon its predecessor, offering a larger world to explore, redesigned and enhanced "Progs" (programming commands), and upgraded visuals and audio. Players will once again chain together Progs to execute intricate hacking sequences.
A Cyberpunk Vision
868-Hack's gritty art style and cyberpunk aesthetic are undeniably appealing. Supporting its crowdfunding campaign feels like a worthwhile endeavor, although inherent risks accompany any such project. While setbacks are always a possibility, we wholeheartedly wish developer Michael Brough the best in bringing 868-Back to fruition.
