Fresh From the Ashes of Project KV's Annulation, les fans ont pris l'initiative de lancer Project VK, un jeu à but non lucratif axé sur la communauté. Le 8 septembre, le même jour, KV a été abandonné, le studio Vikundi a émergé sur Twitter (x) avec une déclaration portant sur la situation.

Le message du studio était clair: "Ce projet particulier a en effet été une inspiration derrière notre projet. Malgré l'événement, comme la façon dont un groupe d'adultes responsables devrait, l'équipe de développement poursuivra son travail sur le projet comme d'habitude sans aucune perturbation. L'équipe de développement du studio Vikundi continuera nos efforts pour répondre à vos attentes."

"Notre projet est un jeu indépendant à but non lucratif créé par des individus dévoués", a en outre expliqué le studio. "Il n'a aucun lien avec Blue Archive ou Project KV. Notre projet a été lancé par des fans qui ont été déçus par l'équipe du projet KV en raison de leurs comportements non professionnels. Par conséquent, nous promettons que nous ne nous comporterons pas comme ils l'ont fait. Ce projet est entièrement original et n'est pas une copie de Blue Archive ou Project KV; nous respectons et protégeons les copyrights existants."

Le projet KV a été brusquement annulé le 8 septembre, après un contrecoup en ligne important sur sa ressemblance frappante avec Blue Archive, un projet sur lequel certains de ses développeurs avaient auparavant travaillé chez Nexon Games. Les allégations de plagiat s'étendaient sur l'esthétique, la musique et son concept central du jeu: une ville de style japonais remplie d'étudiantes brandissant des armes.

Une semaine seulement après la sortie de son deuxième teaser, Dynamis One s'est rendu sur Twitter (x) pour annoncer l'annulation, exprimant leurs excuses aux fans pour la controverse.
