HBO serait dans des négociations avancées avec l'acteur acclamé John Lithgow, connu pour son rôle de Lord Farquaad dans Shrek , pour dépeindre l'emblématique directeur de Poudlard Albus Dumbledore dans leur prochaine série Harry Potter . Alors que HBO reste à lèvres serrés, Variety rapporte qu'un accord est imminent. Cela suit la spéculation plus tôt en novembre en nommant Mark Rylance en tant que favori pour le rôle de Dumbledore.
